Rubber Tire Gantry Crane Tech
Responsibilities:
Mechanical servicing, install, set up and calibration of cranes, which include the inspection of equipment wearing, safety, functionality.
- Maintain, repair, test and install ac/dc electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems that forms part of overhead cranes
- Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits
- Panel wiring, electrical troubleshooting and servicing of lifting equipment
- Read blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment that forms part of overhead cranes
- Test electrical components that forms part of overhead cranes for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
- Maintain, repair, install and regulators and other electrical components as required
- Regular PM work as per guidelines and regulations
Required:
Journeyman Status- Minimum 5-10 years exp
Experience on any of the following: Demag, ABUS, Mi Jack or Kone Cranes
Stable work history with no more than 2 jobs past 5 years (unless extenuating circumstances)
2 verifiable references
Overnight Travel occasionally required
