Heavy Equipment Mechanic performs skilled tasks in the mechanical repair and maintenance of heavy trucks, paving equipment related construction equipment ie. road graders, skid steers, millers, gasoline and diesel-powered tractors, dump trucks, and small engines.
Responsibilities & Duties:
· Maintain a Clean driving record
· Be on time to work everyday
· Great work ethic
· Maintain and uphold all Safety procedures and protocols set forth by the company
· Ability to work or learn to work on advanced difficult equipment issues with high priority and urgency
· Work on field service calls with the highest quality and urgency in mind.
· Able to repair the equipment with the quickest and the highest quality way based on your experience
· Maintain good communication with manager on equipment repairs and parts needed
· Middle to advanced-level skilled Welder for all types of welding. (Preferred)
· Responsible for Welding repairs as well as creating and building needed items out of metal
· Ability to work in a team and willing to be trained and train others.
· Mentor all mechanics on correct methods for repairs as training opportunities
