National Service Tech – Mobile Cranes
Must have 5 years experience- doing minor and major equipment repairs in the field with extensive experience on Mobile Cranes
| – | Repairs and replaces virtually any damaged or worn part on a crane |
| – | Tests mechanical products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer’s specifications, repairs and replaces damaged or worn parts |
| – | Operates and inspects machines or heavy equipment in order to diagnose defects |
| – | Dismantles and reassembles heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools clean, lubricates and performs other routine maintenance work on equipment and vehicles |
| – | Examines parts for damage or excessive wear using micrometers and gauges |
| – | Reads, understands and interprets operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints and technical drawings |
| – | Inspects, tests and listens to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts and pressure gauges |
| – | Adjusts and relines brakes, aligns wheels, tightens bolts and screws and reassembles equipment |
| – | Inspects brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure they are in proper operating condition |
| – | Specializes in repairing and maintaining parts of the engine, such as fuel injection systems |
| – | Promotes a safe work environment by ensuring the group and self follow established safety procedures. Follows directions for the handling and disposing of hazardous wastes, such as toner, oil, antifreeze, transmission fluid, auto parts cleaner and similar material |
| – | Diagnoses, adjusts, repairs or overhauls mobile mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment such as cranes, etc |
| – | Applies electrical theory and related knowledge to test and modify operational electrical machinery and electrical control equipment and circuitry |
| – | Applies mechanical theory and related knowledge to test and modify operational machinery and equipment |
Job profile
| – | High school graduate or GED |
| – | Demonstrated initiative to visualize, organize, manage and complete projects in individual and group settings |
| – | Ability to interface with all levels of staff |
| – | Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information |
| – | Ability to multi-task while completing work in a competent and professional manner |
| – | Excessive overnight travel required |
| – | Ability to work overtime as well as on weekends or on call duty |
| – | Competency in mechanical and electrical technical engineering application |
