 POSITION SUMMARY: 

Perform diagnostic and service repairs, including but not limited to engine, hydraulic and electrical, and provides superior service and represents professional image.

 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ability to properly and completely fill out all service reports, machine checklists and other service reports within department guidelines.
• Completes all paperwork before moving on to next job; communicates extra time needed to complete tasks to immediate supervisor.
• Ability to use brand related parts and service manuals.
• Works in an efficient manner in the shop or field.
• Perform complete visual inspection of equipment and notes deficiencies as part of preventive maintenance service.
• Able to perform inspections.
• Capable of component and/or sub-component changes using prescribed guidelines, on all equipment.
• Capable of troubleshooting using prescribed guidelines and documentation.
• Keep current with industry standards.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, with excellent work ethic, neat appearance and good communication skills. Take full ownership of job.
• Use safe working practices and adhere to all safety initiatives.
• Keep efficiency rates high.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 3 plus years experience in the Heavy Equipment Maintenance industry or an educational degree in Diesel related technical courses.
• Provide own hand tools necessary to perform preventative maintenance on heavy equipment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in order to provide thorough, descriptive service reports.
• Self-motivated and capable of following directions and effectively work in a team environment.
• Ability to recognize and react to safety related issues.
• Troubleshooting and/or diagnostic skills for: Engine, Transmission/Drivetrain, Hydraulic, Electrical, A/C, On Board Computer and Electronic Control Module.

Advanced level experience in any of the following:

3. Case
4. John Deere
5. Vermeer
6. Komatsu
7. Atlas
8. Ingersoll Rand
