The Service Advisor is responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the service department as it relates to the Preventive Maintenance of the company’s rental fleet and customer owned machines.
Control and direct activity for the Preventive Maintenance department to ensure all work performed is completed in an accurate and timely manner, equipment and tools are maintained, and the service vehicles are in compliance with determined safety requirements.
Schedule PIP improvements to be done in a timely manner
Maintain driver qualification files on all field technicians as per DOT regulations
Coordinate trouble shooting diagnostics with technicians and manufacturer
Actively engage customers in additional services provided by dealership, always up-sell and continually increase satisfaction levels by ensuring machine inspections are completed and quoted in a timely manner
Resolve customer/service grievances/problems in a prompt and efficient manner
Experience
3.-5 years Service related experience in heavy equipment
Associates degree
Knowledge of premier brand equipment, a plus
MS office experience
Effective communication – written and oral
